IT: Your IT Professional

Being an independent entrepreneur abroad is pretty itchy. In Norway I had a first taste. Due to moving to the Netherlands, I had to stop this business. This does not stop me from starting a 2.0 version. Therefore, I am busy writing a new, improved business plan. My goal for 2025/2026 is to turn this concept into reality.
Even though I cannot yet take on independent assignments. I can always start on a contract basis. Preferably part-time (from Monday till Thursday) so that there is enough time left for setting up my own business. Please feel free to contact me so we can discuss further details.
IT: Music list

One of the ways to learn a foreign language is by listening to music. I just haven’t yet come across a music program where you can filter by language. As I do try out different music programs, I was looking for a way to keep track of my favorite music.
Perhaps also because, being an IT nerd, I like big data. Therefore, I started collecting information in a database. On top of this database, I programmed a website where information can be filtered from the database. This project can be accessed via the link musikk.oursbamse.nl. For some more detailed information, I can recommend this article.
Journalism: Ours Bamse

Ours Bamse is a private project for maintaining and improving my language skills. I write stories in Dutch which I then translate into English, French, Norwegian and Swedish. Not entirely exclusively, this will expand to other foreign languages in the future.
Since I work with multiple languages, this is how the name Oursbamse came into being. The name is a combination of French (ours) and Norwegian (bamse) which both mean ‘(cuddly) bear’. Since the stories are fantasy stories about a little bear, the target audience is mainly children. By writing about grammar from time to time, I hope to teach children and other language learners something about language.
The ultimate goal is to gather all the stories together and turn them into a physical book. Whether it will be all languages in one book or one book per language, I haven’t decided yet. For now, the stories can be read on my website www.oursbamse.nl.
IT & Translation: WTM water purification
Today, there is a sharp increase in industries and agriculture that pollute the soil, air, and sea. We also find more and more plastic on beaches and in forests. These places are actually the source of our drinking water. Since humans are made up of 50 to 70 percent water, becomes water a very important source in our lives. But the question is: with so much pollution, can we still trust the water we buy or drink from the tap?

365-water.com (established in Denmark) has been working for more than 40 years on developments in water purification. They have developed a water filtration system that can now separate molecules down to 1 millionth of a millimeter in size (0.000.001 millimeters). The filter also removes all living organisms such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi that are between 200 and 2000 times larger than water molecules.
Pollution does not only occur in one place or in one country. Unfortunately, it happens all over the world. This makes water purification systems more important than ever, and can even save more lives! That is why WTM has expanded to Sweden (365-water.com/se/), Norway (365-vann.no), and the Netherlands (365-water.nl).
The project I was given responsibility for is to translate the Norwegian site into Dutch, while also maintaining both sites. In addition, I was tasked with developing a system where the water filtration systems in stock could be linked to invoices and customer information so that the process from order to delivery runs quickly and efficiently.
